Grand Opening Success: Duet’s GrandKin Clothing Closet

Thanks to the generous support of BHHS Legacy Foundation, Duet kinship care services proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of the GrandKin Clothing Closet. This exciting new resource is dedicated to supporting grandfamilies enrolled in our services by providing essential items such as school uniforms, new clothing, shoes, school supplies, personal care items, and more, for grandchildren from preschool through 8th grade.

The grand opening event was filled with warmth and gratitude as kinship caregivers explored the available resources and connected with others in the Duet community. Families expressed their appreciation for the added support, emphasizing how these essentials will help their grandchildren feel confident and thrive throughout the year.

Duet is proud to provide this valuable resource, empowering grandfamilies with access to essential items that support their grandchildren’s well-being. The GrandKin Clothing Closet is located at Duet’s office and operates by appointment on designated days. To access this service, families must first enroll in Duet’s kinship services by completing an intake assessment with a kinship team member. Once eligibility is confirmed, families will receive a link to complete a clothing registration form and schedule an appointment with the kinship team.
