Informational Session on DES Benefits

We are pleased to announce an upcoming educational workshop designed specifically for grandparents raising grandchildren. Many of our Grandfamilies have inquired about what happens when the grandchildren turn 18 with their medical assistance (AHCCCS) benefits. This workshop will provide a high-level overview of crucial DES benefits, including SNAP, TANF, and AHCCCS. No personal or individual cases will be reviewed or discussed at this workshop.

During the workshop, we will cover:

• SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program): Understanding eligibility and benefits.
• TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families): How to apply and what support is available.
• AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System): Accessing healthcare benefits for you and your grandchildren.

I will be joined by a representative from our policy unit to answer any detailed policy questions you may have. We believe this workshop will be incredibly beneficial for you and your family.
