Fall 2021 Foundations of Faith Community Nursing

Twice a year, Duet trains faith community nurses through our Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course. The American Nurses Association (ANA) defines Faith Community Nursing (FCN) as “the specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses on the intentional care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting wholeistic health and preventing or minimizing illness in a faith community.”

The Fall 2021 course is a hybrid course taking place in October and November. Full days are Saturday, October 16 and Saturday, November 6 from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m., in person. The rest of the course will take place virtually, with six evening classes scheduled for Tuesdays, October 19, October 26, and November 2, and Thursdays, October 21, October 28, and November 4.

This course is based on the curriculum developed through the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing, a ministry of Church Health Center.
