Grandparent In-Person Workshop: Understanding And Overcoming Your Childs Adverse Childhood Experiences

Presented by Lisa McCormick. Kinship Care Services is presenting a series of workshops aimed at helping caregivers understand and mitigate trauma caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Session 1: We will help you build a better understanding of Childhood Trauma and Stress will go over what ACEs are, how frequent and common they are, and how childhood trauma and stress is impacting the children we care for in today’s society.
Session 2: We will discuss toxic stress and trauma informed care approaches.
Session 3: We will discuss ways to promote resiliency through recognizing and promoting it within yourself and loved ones by using a strengths-based approach.

When: Wednesdays, October 12, 26, and November 9
Time: 9 – 11:00 a.m.
