The total cost of the fingerprinting and clearance is $73 which can be reimbursed by Duet after 6 months of active volunteering. Kinship care services will host the second session in a series of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) trainings. In this session we will review toxic stress and trauma informed care approaches. Toxic Stress and Trauma Informed Care includes an overview of the types of stress we all experience, focusing specifically on toxic stress and the connection between unresolved trauma, risky behaviors, and coping mechanisms. This workshop series will be in person at the Duet office in the Mariposa Room. Reservations are required and space is limited.

She’ll focus on stress, coping, and resiliency. As dementia progresses, so does the caregiving journey. Coping and grieving processes are ongoing, which can cause unusually high stress for even the strongest family caregivers. Being resilient means becoming more comfortable with the heightened stress and anxiety, and gaining new strength from the experience.

Orientation for Volunteers to provide services to home bound adults. Please bring your drivers license for ID. A Level 1 Fingerprint clearance is required to volunteer and instructions for obtaining this will be provided at orientation. The total cost of the fingerprinting and clearance is $73 which can be reimbursed by Duet after 6 months of active volunteering. If you already have a Level 1 clearance Card please bring it with you so we may make a copy.
