Have you cared for a family member or loved one in the past? Are you caring for someone now and feel you are in a stable place? If so, you can become a Duet caregiver mentor volunteer.
No one should have to undertake the caregiving journey alone. As a caregiver mentor volunteer, you can help isolated caregivers by providing emotional support from the comfort of your own home. Your mentorship will have a lasting impact on the lives of caregivers who are at risk and alone.
• For current or previous caregivers who are in a stable place, and are able to dedicate at least one hour per week to providing one-on-one support to current caregivers for a period of six months.
• This volunteer opportunity is both meaningful and rewarding, and can be accomplished from the comfort of your own home over the phone.
• Participants do not need to be caregiving “experts,” they are simply asked to lend a compassionate ear.
