Event Details

Families Together is an evidence-based life-skills program designed to help grandparents/kinship caregivers strengthen communication with the youth in their care. The ultimate goal is to equip grandparents with tools necessary to influence the children’s behaviors, resulting in easier and healthier transitions into adolescence.


• Session 1: October 8 – Family communication and substance use in youth

• Session 2: October 15 – Parental monitoring and role modeling

• Session 3: October 22 – Positive discipline and substance abuse warning signs

• Session 4: October 29 – How to take a clear stand on drugs


What you need to know:

RSVP by Friday, September 4, to secure a spot and allow enough time for us to mail workshop materials to you.

• This series is virtual and will take place via Zoom.

• This workshop is free of charge.

• There will be raffles at each workshop session where you’ll have the chance to win gift cards. •

• If requested, you are able to earn up to four certificate hours for licensure purposes.
