Bob Roth to Receive The Rev. Dr. Dosia Carlson Legacy Award at Duet’s Giving in the Garden Party
Duet: Partners In Health & Aging is proud to announce that Bob Roth, Managing Partner and co-founder of Cypress HomeCare Solutions, has been selected as the recipient of The Rev. Dr. Dosia Carlson Legacy Award. Roth will be recognized at Duet’s Giving in the Garden Party on November 9, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the Lawn Court at the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort.

The award honors the enduring legacy of Duet’s founder, the late Rev. Dr. Dosia Carlson, who dedicated her life to ensuring dignity, compassion, and independence for older adults. Bob Roth’s decades of leadership and tireless advocacy for aging services, both in Arizona and nationwide, exemplify her vision.
“I am deeply humbled to receive The Rev. Dosia Carlson Legacy Award,” shares Bob. “Caregiving has always been personal to me, it began with the privilege of caring for my own parents and stepmom, and it continues every day through the work we do at Cypress HomeCare Solutions. To be recognized in Rev. Carlson’s name, someone who lived a life of compassion and service is profoundly meaningful. Following Dr. Pauline Boss, whose work has shaped how we understand caregiving and loss, makes this honor even more extraordinary. This award is not just for me; it is for the caregivers, families, and community partners who embody the true spirit of care.”
Bob Roth’s commitment to older adults began after experiencing firsthand the challenges of caring for his mother who was diagnosed with heart disease. Inspired by his mother, in 1994, Bob co-founded Cypress HomeCare Solutions a family owned and operated home care agency. That deeply personal caregiving journey inspired a lifelong mission: to provide compassionate, high-quality home care for others navigating similar paths.
With more than 40 years of experience spanning consumer products, healthcare, and technology, Bob brings strategic vision and operational excellence to the home care industry. Bob has been recognized with some of the industry’s highest honors, including Phoenix Business Journal’s Most Admired Leader (2025) and AllThrive 365 (Formerly Foundation for Senior Living) 50 over 50 Award (2024). In 2017, Bob was appointed by Governor Doug Ducey to the Arizona Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging, becoming the first home care agency owner to serve on the Council in its 40- year history.

Beyond his business accomplishments, Bob is a trusted voice in the aging community. He hosts the long-running radio show and podcast, Health Futures – Taking Stock in You and writes the monthly Aging Today column for Jewish News of Greater Phoenix.

Bob’s commitment to Duet runs deep and spans nearly 20 years. He served on the Board of Directors from 2016 through 2022 and has been a loyal member of both the Legacy Circle and Vision Society. Since 2009, Bob has generously supported Duet’s mission, including faithfully backing its signature benefits from the Poinsettia Tea to the Giving in the Garden Party. Even after completing his board service, his dedication never wavered. With a passionate focus on advancing family caregiver services, Bob became a founding member of Duet’s Meaning & Hope Institute National Advisory Council. His leadership was instrumental in securing the largest individual donation in Duet’s history, helping launch this groundbreaking virtual platform that connects and uplifts family caregivers of loved ones with dementia.
Ann Wheat, Executive Director of Duet, shared why Roth was chosen for this recognition: “Bob Roth is a household name in the aging services community. He pours his heart and soul into his work, and he lives out his values every day. His leadership and advocacy embody the spirit of Dosia Carlson’s legacy.”
