Let’s Soar! Campaign

Thank YOU for your part in Duet’s history.

In 1981, Duet was founded through the inspiration of Rev. Dr. Dosia Carlson, who envisioned bringing together like-minded community partners to form innovative solutions to pressing needs facing older adults. For 36 years, Duet has operated from office space generously provided by Church of the Beatitudes, where we have coordinated our free-of-charge services for homebound adults, grandparents raising grandchildren, family caregivers, and faith communities.

We are deeply grateful for the gift of space that has helped Duet flourish into a vibrant source of help and hope. Now though, the building Duet occupies requires extensive renovations and will be demolished.

Let’s soar!

Following a thoughtful and collaborative effort, we are excited to tell you that we have secured a lease for 8,800 sq. ft. of office space near 31st Avenue and Dunlap in Phoenix (10000 N. 31st Avenue). Relocating is a perfect opportunity to expand our reach and enhance service coordination a welcoming space that illuminates the caring and collaborative approach that you’ve come to expect from Duet.

You are the wings on which Duet will SOAR to our new home.

Your help is needed to advance our founding vision by investing in the “Let’s Soar” campaign. This three-month fundraising campaign, with a goal of $250,000, will underwrite capital costs of moving and rent while providing a continuity of care that keeps up with the growing need for our vital services. Join us by making a generous gift today. Together, we will soar toward our vision of a community where every person ages with compassion, dignity, and hope.

Naming opportunities are available in our new office and we’d love to recognize you as a multi-year Vision Society member. Call Gordon Sims, Director of Development at (602) 274-5022 or email him at sims@duetaz.org to learn more.
